It's a very versatile pickup that offers a distinctly different kind of sound to other single coils, and a brighter, leaner, and slightly more raw sound than a humbucker. The iconic vintage sound of the Casino is largely due to its P-90 pickups, that when put through the tube amps of the day, produced a tonal quality like no other. This versatile sound and high-level playability makes this guitar suitable for many styles and genres, from sultry blues to explosive jazz and even straight cranked up rock'n'roll. Extremely lightweight and comfortable, its hollow Maple body produces a warm, focused sound that is bright and snappy, matched to a fast and slim Mahogany neck with a smooth Pau Ferro fingerboard that adds some warmth to balance out the overall sound. It's simply amazing to play and emits a rather unique sound. When we look at Epiphones latest iteration of the Casino, we can see exactly what drew these huge names to this guitar. McCartney used his Casino on many early Beatles recordings, Lennon rocked it live later in their career, and Harrison looked to it to provide his sound on tour. It was used by many legends such as Keith Richards and Ray Davies but is ultimately known for its relationship with The Beatles. The Epiphone Casino Hollowbody electric guitar has been used by some of the greatest artists in the world to produce some of the most iconic guitar parts ever written.
